Liners

label-stock-coatingSelecting the right release liner is vital to achieving the best performance and productivity for your application line. Frimpeks® offer a range of liners at various thicknesses. The benefits of each are highlighted below and can be selected to match up with your chosen face stock and adhesive using our product selector tool.

It’s no secret that labels that dispense well on the line is an essential production objective. However reduced change over times achieved through fitting more labels per roll is another variable converters can influence. If you combine that with the recycling opportunities for your liner carrier material then your selection isn’t always straightforward. Frimpeks® offer advice through our technical team but furthermore can organise product trials to establish which combination is right for your business.

Label trials are supported where relevant with Frimpeks® staff attending on-site to monitor release, line-speed and application performance. Our approach is one of partnership so if we can support you to achieve your optimum production targets then we in turn will achieve one of our goals.

The main options open to converters are Paper Glassine, Kraft or Filmic PP/PET Liners. Paper liners are highly calendered uncoated papers which are standard in many markets around the world.

Filmic Liners have seen rapid growth in the industry due to reduced dust when compared to the paper equivalent and has a stronger tensile strength. Thin gauge film options also offer efficiency benefits and a recyclable value. The comparison table below may help you to identify which option is right for you. Our product selectors will also help to pair up with the appropriate face stock and adhesive combination.
