Key Account Manager

Region:  South Germany, Austria, Switzerland

Frimpeks is looking for an Account Manager based in Germany as a part of Western European Commercial Team.

The successful candidate will effectively manage the commercial & technical relationships in the assigned territory to deliver the stretched sales & profitability targets.  He will handle the current direct customers & distribution network in the area while identifying the potential and the value chain in the self-adhesive paper & films (label-stock), UV inks and Varnish.

The successful candidate should possess high levels of initiative, must be able to operate independently but also be a strong team player, and be able to thrive in an environment where all business rules and activities are not well defined but have to be developed as knowledge of the customers need and markets develops. The customer oriented mindset with good negotiation, persuasion and crisis management skills will be some of the advantages of the candidates.

Bias for action is a key attribute of the job as the successful candidate will be expected to develop account plans and lead and/or participate on account teams regionally by managing multiple product offerings to a variety of customers in the above segments. Helping to find opportunities for technical teammates to explore and deliver on will be critical. The candidate will be responsible for transactional activities at customers including price and volume that maximizes top line growth.

This role will report to the Regional Commercial Manager

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s Degree (~10 years)
  • Ideally around 5 years of sales experience in a similar industries
  • Technical Sales Experience is highly preferred
  • This role does require extensive travel within a sales territory (75 percent)
  • A valid driver’s license is required
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills in German and English
  • Good command of MS Office; SAP and CRM a plus
